Concrete Leveling / Slabjacking

Concrete lifting and leveling with polyurethane injection, also known as slabjacking, is our specialty!

Due to the seasons, soil conditions, drainage problems and invasive tree roots, concrete slabs including sidewalks, pool decks, warehouse floors and driveways can become uneven. Sunken concrete slabs are both a safety and a liability issue. Even though this has happened, our minimally-invasive procedure known as slabjacking can help level the concrete and stabilize the soil beneath.

This injection process involves injecting a special polyurethane foam under the slab. The foam expands almost immediately and lifts the slab back up. Polyurethane foam injection is less expensive than mudjacking or replacing sunken concrete, and you can walk or drive your vehicle on the slab as soon as the repair is done.

Typical Concrete Leveling Projects

Concrete Leveling and Lifting by the pros!

Government: Roads, highways, bridges, airports, dams, catch basins
Industrial: Concrete floors, mining, subsurface utilities, retaining walls
Residential: Patios, porches, walkways, driveways, pools, foundations

Many slab lifting jobs first require fixing underlying problems with uneven or settling substrate with soil stabilization. Our process and products target the causes of settling by addressing soil stabilization prior to slab lifting. This creates long-term advantages:

  • Erosion control
  • Soil stabilization
  • High-strength void fill
  • Precise slab lifting

How polyurethane injection (slabjacking) works:

The time and cost savings of lifting sunken concrete with polyurethane injection basically works as follows:
  • 3/8” holes, spaced in a grid a few feet apart, are HEPA Vacuum drilled into the slab in the affected area(s).
  • Polyurethane foam is then injected underneath the slab where it expands to fill the voids and lift the concrete.
  • The holes are then patched and the work area is cleaned up.
  • Wait 15 minutes for the foam to cure after which it’s strong enough to support vehicular traffic.
  • We pack our equipment and the slab is now ready for use again.

Benefits of polyurethane foam injection (slabjacking)

It’s less mess for the home owner. They know when we are finished, they can use that area right away. Our injection process is a cost-effective method of leveling concrete slabs, sidewalks, walkways, pool decks, and driveways. It’s less expensive and less destructive than replacing the concrete. Our work is completed in hours/days vs.
weeks or months.

As soon as the repair is complete, you can use the slab right away. On the other hand, replacing the concrete is a more involved process that takes longer because the concrete needs to cure and more money to fix your landscaping. During that time, you are not able to use the slab.

There are 4 main reasons slabjacking is better than mudjacking:

  • Mudjacking adds weight to the soil at an estimated 150 lbs per square foot.
  • Does not address the erosion issue.
  • It can take hours if not days to set up followed by shrinkage
    Drill holes 1 1/2- 2”+ in size
